Who was Artur Rubinstein? Why to touch his nose? + 8 Grammy Awards
Rubinstein, Nico, and I are in Lodz, Poland. I am on the piano.
The picture was taken in 2013.
I touched first time his nose in 2011, I was an exchange student in Lodz through AIESEC. I worked at Okna Rąbień in Aleksandrów Łódzki in 2011. When the picture was taken in 2013, I was an employee of Infosys Poland in Lodz. I worked as a procurement executive.
There was a really good cafe restaurant next to the sculpture, run by a local Jewish entrepreneur.
I am not sure, but maybe his first name was Adam.

What does the In Your Pocket say about him?
When he was young, he lived in Berlin, Paris, and Spain. He was a good friend of Picasso and Cocteau.
Here, read my other blog about the Lost Generation:
Put your red shoes on when the storm comes...
Later, he married the Polish ballerina Ela Młynarska.
In 1937, he was already in the USA and playing there, and in 1946 was already a US citizen.
His family did not survive the Holocaust in Lodz. "They perished in the ghettos and gas chambers, prompting Rubinstein to declare he would never again play in Germany."
